It’s been quite the 48 hours or so — at least as far as social media goes — for Stefon Diggs and Cardi B the rapper who he’s apparently been dating.
Video of the New England Patriots receiver surfaced over Memorial Day weekend showing him with a group of women on a boat and a bag full of an unnamed pink substance. Cardi B wasn’t in that group, but other clips that seem to be from the same boat party have also surfaced showing her there.
It was noteworthy enough that Patriots coach Mike Vrabel addressed at OTAs, where Diggs was absent. So what did Diggs and Cardi B say in response to all of this controversy that’s begun to swirl as of late?
Diggs hasn’t addressed the videos directly, but he did post Instagram Stories of himself training on his own as he recovers from a torn ACL. It’s not certain if this is a direct message about the boat videos — perhaps he’s trying to show that nothing is letting him be distracted as he prepares for the season — but that’s what he posted amid all the controversy.
Cardi B, meanwhile, didn’t say much of anything, just posting a photo of herself taking a selfie that was posted on her Instagram Story.
We’ll continue to await official responses to the boat videos, although it sounds like Vrabel and the Patriots addressed it and that could be that. And unless there’s more info or other videos from the boat, there may not be much more to this than what we’ve seen the last couple of days.
